About the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Foreign Affairs

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Foreign Affairs acts as a forum for discussing UK foreign policy and collecting insight on wider matters of international diplomacy.

The APPG runs a schedule of events to engage in discussion and debate on foreign policy issues of the day while exploring lesser known aspects of British engagement abroad.

Events provide parliamentarians with opportunities to meet with a range of stakeholders, such as diplomats and organisations concerned with trade and soft power initiatives, to promote stronger relations between the UK and global partners.

Dr Lisa Cameron is the Chair of the APPG for Foreign Affairs. A clinical psychologist by profession, Lisa was elected to Parliament in 2015 and became Chair of the APPG in June 2022. She firmly believes that, as recent international crises have shown, the global community needs to function at a higher level and that the APPG has a role to play in promoting multilateralism, cooperation, and trade.
